2‐PRODUCTION METHODS, WORK FLOW AND LAYOUT

ERP ( Enterprise Resource Planning ) and Three Dimensional engineering are being utilized by the software programs of Vantage Marine and IFS. The station based production system is applied as main production method. This system is made up of work stations which have a material ( raw and semi ‐raw) flow through themselves. The system is based on the double check system between the integrated stations and a client‐supplier chain has been accomplished. The afore mentioned stations and their descriptions are as follows ;

01 STEEL STORAGE AREA Storage of steel plates and profiles
02 SINGLE PARTS Preparation of steel single parts (All the plates and profiles)
03 COMPONENTS Assembly of steel components
04 PREFABRICATION First assembly stage of the single parts
05 PLANE PANELS Production of the plane panels
06 SECTION ASSEMBLY Assembling of the sections
07 CURVED PANELS Production of the curved panels (Using pin jigs)
08 MAIN SECTIONS Assembling of the main sections
09 BLOCKS Assembling of the blocks
50 PAINT HALLS Blasting and painting of the blocks
10 BUFFER Buffer area for the blocks after painting before erection
12 ERECTION Erecting the blocks and launching of the ship
15 QUAY Harbour tests, sea trial and delivery
